Siennachat was launched in mid Feb 2009 after the disappearance of siennaclub.org.  Since siennachat's creation, the forum has grown to over 350 members and receives 3500 page views daily.  It costs money to run the web site and we are asking for your donations so we can keep this great community up and running.  

Folks that donate $20 or more gain access to Sienna Supporters section that includes some technical service bulletins and parts of the service manual.

Yes!   A sticker is included with any donation to siennachat.  Additional stickers will also be available too.  I updated the donation request.  I didn't want to promise immediate delivery of a sticker since it will be around the end of March 09 when the printer will have them printed.

Yes. Wayne@siennachat.com is correct.  Wayne is my cousin and he is the one that is helping me with the technical end of the website doing weekly backups and etc.  He's also helping me ship the vehicle stickers.

I just sent in my donation...  Just curious.... How much does it cost in time and money to set up and run a site like this?  Perhaps others would feel more compelled to donate if they knew.

It costs around $50-75 a month to host the site including the bandwidth consumed.  When I first started the site, it cost $10 a month but the site grew pretty quick and the site had problems with missing posts/database errors on the budget hosting company.  I switched from a low-budget hosting provider to a virtual presence solution hosting (VPS).  Seems everything is pretty speedy now, atleast I haven't heard anything saying it's not speedy.

I'm very proud of everyone that has gathered at siennachat forums after the demise of siennaclub.  I run the site as a hobby and as I promise, we're not for sale.  Aside from siennachat, My day job is a for profit engineering business doing ok so even if someone offered some cash.. I'd decline.  Looking forward to the 3rd gen sienna
